After such a blow, she constantly wonders what the other person might be doing, whether they miss her; she wavers between holding on to the memories and living clung to nostalgia, or erasing it all completely.

In September, a year of zero contact begins—a year in which Diana will realize just how hard it is to forget, and what it means to love yourself when it’s already too late.
